Sam leads the build. He grew up on a large commercial farm, where equipment, tools, and the daily discipline of running an operation were learned young, under his father's guidance. He graduated from the Carpentry Program at the University of the Fraser Valley in 2005 and launched his own construction company soon after.
Over twenty years on, his work spans agricultural buildings, commercial tenant improvements, and custom homes of every scale, always built the same way: engineering principles underneath, thoughtful design on top, and a finished project that works as well as it looks.
In 2026, Sam completed the Canadian Home Builders' Association's Net Zero Builder Training, formal expertise in airtightness, insulation, and mechanical systems, for clients who want a home that performs as beautifully as it reads on paper.
Today Sam leads construction at Rexford from our base in Chilliwack, building across British Columbia and Alberta with trades he knows by name and budgets he puts in writing before the first shovel of dirt moves.
“The creativity and craftsmanship involved in shaping functional, enduring spaces, across every type of build. That's what gets me out of bed.”
